La Beauté Louis Vuitton: A Grand Debut into Luxury Beauty

Louis Vuitton Cosmetics Make-up Collection 2025

Louis Vuitton, the French maison known for their amazing bags, fashion and craftsmanship, has officially unveiled its long-anticipated makeup collection—La Beauté Louis Vuitton. This marks the brand’s first foray into cosmetics since the 1920s, when it offered powder compacts and mirrors.

All about the Collection

At the helm is none other than Dame Pat McGrath, the legendary makeup artist who, after collaborating backstage with Louis Vuitton for over twenty years, now steps into the role of Creative Director of Cosmetics. Known for her boundary-pushing artistry and revolutionary formulations, McGrath brings both vision and legacy to the collection.

The debut range includes multiple different make-up products. The brand will release 55 lipsticks, available in both matte and satin finishes, spanning vivid reds to soft nudes. In addition there will also be 10 lip balms, offering a sheer glow effect with lightweight, buildable color. And lastly there will also be 8 eyeshadow palettes. These will feature an array of complementary shades and glittery options for creative looks

Heritage Meets Beauty

For Pat McGrath, the debut collection is more than makeup—it is a way of carrying Louis Vuitton’s heritage into the world of beauty. Take Monogram Rouge, a timeless red lipstick inspired by the house’s iconic monogram. Even the total number of lipsticks, 55, is no coincidence—“LV” in Roman numerals—a subtle tribute to the brand’s legacy. The shade is described as rich, bold, and effortlessly wearable: trend-conscious, yet timeless.

Other pieces also weave history into beauty. Rose Eugénie, a delicate pink lipstick, pays homage to Empress Eugénie, one of Louis Vuitton’s earliest patrons. Meanwhile, the Beige Memento eyeshadow palette, with its warm caramel tones, once again nods to the maison’s signature monogram.

Luxury in the Details

Every detail speaks of heritage and innovation—the packaging, designed by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, highlights refillable, sustainable materials like aluminum and brass, and echoes Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram and trunk fittings.

Pat McGrath underscores the intention behind the collection: "products that you would never want to let go of—a versatile colour wardrobe designed to suit every moment, mood and occasion." The shades were developed with inclusivity in mind, tested across all skin tones.

The collection officially launches globally on August 29, 2025, available through select Louis Vuitton stores and online.
